Loft9 Volunteers at Seattle Works Day
SEATTLE – 6/5/13— Associates from Loft9 (www.loft9consulting.com) volunteered at Columbia Court Apartments to kick-start the summer season by weeding, raking leaves and debris, and planting new flowers and shrubs. The Low Income Housing Institute runs Columbia Court Apartments which serves 13 families transitioning out of homelessness, primarily refugee families from Eastern Africa. This site features a courtyard with trees, benches, and a kids’ playground for residents to enjoy.The Low Income Housing Institute (http://www.lihi.org/) provides housing and support services to 3,900 low-income, homeless and formerly homeless individuals and families. Seattle Works (http://www.seattleworks.org) coordinated the workday and regularly organizes groups of volunteers to tackle various projects throughout our community. In one day, 1,100+ volunteers tackled 37 projects, accounted for 4,060 hours and over $70,000 invested in our community including Loft9’s efforts at the Columbia Court Apartments. Loft9 also supports the Madhouse Project, Bike MS, Food Lifeline, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation StairClimb, Compass Housing Alliance, Jubilee, PANCAN, Children’s Hospital, Providence Hospital, PAWS, and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.Loft9 is a professional services firm that provides clients the focused business attention and resource bandwidth they need to succeed.
