November 13, 2013 – Inspired by the leadership discussion topics and messaging from the Lean In book by Sheryl Sandberg, the female Associates of Loft9 (www.loft9consulting.com) designed and facilitated their second Lean In event, ‘Lean In with Loft9’. The discussion was centered on one of Loft9’s core values, growth with a purpose, which refers to the value of continuous personal and professional growth in a meaningful and impactful way. One of the participants captured the feeling of the event and of Loft9 by saying, “It’s refreshing and hopeful that a business actually has core values such as “kindness” and “life-long learning.”The event attracted 24 female participants in the Puget Sound Region representing a wide range of experiences and backgrounds from multi-national companies, non-profit organizations to mid and small size businesses each, at varying stages in their career from entry level to senior executive positions.‘Lean In with Loft9′ provided an open and welcoming environment for professional women in the Northwest to discuss a business topic of interest and share their experiences as they navigate their careers, discussing some their stormiest professional moments to their greatest triumphs. “This is one of our most special events where women from all types of professional backgrounds are able to come together to share their experiences and have candid, honest conversations with women just like them” said Liz Carter, Loft9’s first female Director. This is Loft9’s second ‘Lean In with Loft9’ event and the firm plans to continue to offer this engaging and purposeful discussion designed to encourage and support women in the Northwest who are leading, learning and leaning in. ABOUT LOFT9Loft9 is a professional services firm that provides clients the focused business attention and resource bandwidth they need to succeed.
