Dec 21, 2012 | News & Updates

SEATTLE – 12/21/2012— Eleven Loft9 Associates (www.loft9consulting.com) volunteered at Food Lifeline of Washington (www.foodlifeline.org) on November 17th, 2012. They volunteered on a Saturday afternoon to help repack 9,920 pounds of fresh potatoes that will ultimately provide over 9,018 meals for families in need. This is the second year in a row Loft9 has volunteered at Food Lifeline.

The Food Lifeline of Washington is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending hunger in Western Washington. They encourage the food industry – local restaurants, caterers, grocery retailers, etc. – to donate usable food that would otherwise be discarded. In 2011, they distributed more than 35 million pounds of food that provided 27 million meals to feed 745,000 hungry people throughout Western Washington.

Loft9 is committed to being involved in the communities it works in. It seeks out opportunities to engage with highly effective organizations and coordinate associates willing to contribute their time and energy to supporting their work. The Food Lifeline is an example of an organization that is positively impacting the community and that Loft9 is honored to support.

In addition to working with the Food Lifeline, Loft9 is a sponsor of the Madhouse Project (http://www.themadhouseproject.org) and the Providence Hospice Pediatric Luncheon. Loft9 and its associates have a heart for community service and have supported The Bike MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Ride, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation StairClimb, Compass Housing Alliance, Jubilee, PANCAN, Children’s Hospital, PAWS, and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
